Une Croissant....UN Croissant

OK, the one thing (well...the one thing right now) I do not like about the French is how they must pretend like they don't understand when non-French people speak French and then repeat the word/phrase back to that person to subtly inform them that they are pronouncing the word/phrase wrong. Yes, I said une croissant instead of un croissant. But I still said croissant. It's the same in French and English. It should not be hard to understand, especially by a French person who lives in the country where croissants are in every kitchen, restaurant, street corner.

On the bright side, the croissant was amazing. As was Galeries Lafayette, the largest most amazing department I have ever been too. Not only is it two blocks long and at least 5 stories, but it has more clothes than I've ever seen and the most amazing food court (when I say food court, I mean eaterie with amazing foods/pasteries/gelato and a view of the Eiffel Tower and L'Opera). I went with Brittany and Suzanne (craigs list girls) and we spent 8 hours there. We ate in the food court twice and bought super cute clothes. Of course, being the American I am, five minutes into my shopping, I felt it necessary to blow my nose right in front of the Gucci store....

It was a great time, and we made friends with one of the sales girls who really wants to come to America. And we met some college kids visiting from University of Manchester. Now we're resting our tired feet and refueling for a night out. We're planning to meet Ben and his friend for some drinks and dancing! Yeah for my premiere soir out in Paris!!!
