Based on the Mussels in Brussels story (and I forgot to mention that yes, I did eat mussels...and frites...and chocolate), I probably don't need to tell you all that I kept a pretty low profile last week. A little shopping, a little Snack Time, but mostly R&R. And, of course, there's my job that's been keeping me rather busy lately.

As my Dad pointed out, I never blog about my job here at the International Energy Agency. I blog about the people occasionally - Mirko, Annette, etc - there are definitely some characters and they keep me blissfully amused throughout the day. But the actual work, I don't find very conducive to my story of an ''American Girl in Paris.''

However, as I am blogging about my life, it's important to note, that, although it took a little time to adjust to a research-based work style rather than a congressional, put out the fires-based work style, I am really enjoying my work here. My boss is extremely busy and throws projects at me like a monkey throwing darts (ok weird analogy...). The point is, I'm always busy, and he has allowed me to take the lead on quite of few of these projects, which is great for my career and my working confidence. This includes making a presentation for one of our Implementing Agreements and attending and/or organizing multiple conferences. I've been so busy lately that I have neglected my Gmail, and more importantly, my blog. I will do better blogger fans...I will do better!
